≪一発入魂!2014≫ 出展作品 その2 11番~15番

11. 杉山 大祐、杉山 亮太 模型 「下田八幡宮 供奉道具 太鼓橋」
いつまでも下田の祭がにぎやかに続きますように―。
お祭好きの『なみなみ』店主に幼馴染からのお祝いを込めて作りました。
11. Sugiyama Daisuke & Sugiyama Ryota “Drum Bridge of the Hachiman Shrine Festival”
★The brothers made this for a childhood friend who is passionate about the summer festival.
★四神(青竜、白虎、朱雀、玄武)のお飾りも漆喰細工のお手製、台は桐の一枚板だそうです。

12. おとうと(もうすぐ2才) オーナメント 「折り紙屋さん(兄が命名)」
兄と姉にかなり(というか、ほとんど)手伝ってもらいました。

風のあらわし方や、鳥を、速く見せるむきとかを、工夫しました。

I tried to express the wind and the speed of the flying bird.

14. 杉山 五郎 木工模型 「小料理屋 ハリスに仕えたお吉が営んだ安直楼」
時代と共に流されて行、昔の幕末下田港の陰に咲いた一輪の花。
一人の女性の姿を思い出しながら作品に自然と力が入って来ました。
「お吉」は1890年 稲生沢川に身をなげてそのはかない生涯を閉じました(48歳)。
建物は現在でも下田市旧大工町に保存されています。

14. Sugiyama Goro Woodcraft Historic Site - Anchokuro Restaurant
★Model of Anchokuro, the small restaurant ran by Okichi, a well-known historic figure from Japan's era of
modernization, when Shimoda became the country’s first open port to the world 160 years' ago. Okichi was
cast out by fellow Japanese for serving a foreigner – Townsend Harris, who opened the first U.S. Consulate
in Shimoda. Okichi was later depicted as a victim of her times and her life was dramatized in popular novels
and plays. After taking various jobs to survive through the tumultuous times of change, Okichi ended her life
by drowning in the Inozawa River. The historic Anchokuro building still stands in Shimoda’s Old Town area.
